The regular meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the
Village of Sundridge was held on Tuesday, September 30, 2008
at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
PRESENT: Mayor Elgin Schneider, Councillors Sue Ayotte, Bill de Vries,

Morris and Lawrie Vincer.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Elgin Schneider.

INTERNAL COMMITTEE/BOARD MINUTES
The Council reviewed the minutes of the Sundridge, Strong
& Joly Arena & Hall & Ballfield Committee meeting held on September
8, 2008.
The Council reviewed the minutes of the Central Almaguin
Recreation Committee meeting held on September 4, 2008.
FOLLOW-UP BUSINESS/NEW BUSINESS
Six building permits Numbers 13-08SU, 14-08SU, 15-08SU, 16-08SAU, 17-08SU and 18-08SU were presented to Council for their information.
The August 2008 Chief Building Officials Report was presented to Council for their information.
By-Law Enforcement Reports for May, June and July 2008 were presented to Council for their information.
The accounts payable for the Corporation of the Village of Sundridge were presented. It was

A draft of the 2009 Accessibility Plan was presented to Council for their review.

That By-Law No. 2008-018, being a by-law to appoint a
representative to the Central Almaguin Recreation Committee be introduced and
read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 30th day
of September, 2008. Carried.
Resolution No. 276-08 dated August 18, 2008 from the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley re Amendment of Assessment Act was presented. It was

That the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Sundridge support resolution No. 276-08 of the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley dated August 18, 2008 re Requesting the Minister of Finance to amend the Assessment Act to exempt municipally owned property that is located in neighbouring municipalities from all municipal and education taxes. Carried.
Resolution No. CR-341.08 dated August 13, 2008 from the Town of Innisfil re Ontario Energy Board Order was presented. No action was taken.
A resolution dated July 22, 2008 from the Municipality of Tweed re Requesting Provincial and Federal Governments to become involved and reduce taxes on petroleum products including the Provincial road taxes and the Federal Excise Tax was presented. It was

That the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Sundridge support a resolution of the Municipality of Tweed re Requesting Provincial and Federal Govts become involved and reduce taxes on petroleum products, including the Provincial road taxes and Federal Excise Tax. Carried.
A resolution dated September 8, 2008 of the Ton of Fort Erie re Hospital Improvement Plan was presented. No action was taken.
The Central Almaguin Economic Development Association is ready to make application for funding for a Strategic Plan for the four municipalities. It was
