Things to remember about campfires:
- A fire permit is valid for a full calendar year which means you only need 1 permit per year
- You must know and follow the Open Air Burning By-Law
- The By-Law outlines that campfires are allowed between 6:00 pm and 10:00 am – NO daytime campfires **NEW IN 2026 - Time restrictions are lifted from December 1st - March 31st each year**
- A permit holder who creates a hazard may be held liable for any and all costs incurred by the Fire Department to extinguish the fire.
- All relevant information regarding campfires, the By-Law and the Fire Rating can be found online or by contacting the Village Office or the Sundridge-Strong Fire Department.
- If access to the internet is a challenge, you may still pick up your fire permit at the Sundridge-Strong Fire Hall or at the Village of Sundridge Office during regular business hours
