Building Permits

You need a building permit before you begin a building or renovation project in the Village of Sundridge. Building without a permit is against the law and could result in you and/or your contractor being subject to fines or penalties as set out in the Building Code Act.

Purpose of Building Permits

A building permit provides authority to start construction with confirmation that your drawings comply with applicable regulations. In addition, a building permit helps ensure adherence to the Ontario Building Code, Village of Sundridge Zoning By-law and other laws and standards to ensure compliance and safety of the building.

Apply for a building permit

Please complete the Building Permit Application and submit it to: Joint Building Committee (JBC) located at 28 Municipal Lane (In the Township of Strong Municipal Office). If you are not the property owner, the following form will also need to be included with your application: Agent Authorization Form.

View our Checklist for Building Permit Applications to make sure that you have all of the necessary forms and drawings included with your application.
