Economic Development


The Village of Sundridge is committed to the economic and social wellbeing of all its residents, businesses, and community/social organizations. The Village is an active member of Almaguin Community Economic Development, which is a regional economic development services partnership serving the East Parry Sound District (locally Known as Almaguin, or the Almaguin Highlands). Almaguin Community Economic Development, or ACED, provides a suite of economic development services that include:


Business and entrepreneurial support for start-ups, expansions, and general needs, including:

  • Connecting businesses with support and funding opportunities,
  • Site Selection information and local intel,
  • Professional network development, and
  • Other individualized services as required.
  • Marketing and promotion of tourism opportunities, events, and local programming.
  • Regional economic planning, research, and analysis.
  • Community development and organizational support.


ACED is governed by a Board that is made up of representatives from member municipalities and the Almaguin Highlands Chamber of Commerce. Together, ACED partners are committed to ensuring the economic and social prosperity of the region. Their objective is to develop our economy and regional environment through taking strategic action and stewarding strong relationships between municipalities, the business community, community organizations, and economic development stakeholders.
