Business Licences and Permits


The Village of Sundridge does not issue business licenses, however residents and business owners must make sure they comply with the Village Zoning By-law, Ontario Building Code and the Fire Code.



Hawker and Peddler Licences

The Village of Sundridge regulates and governs hawkers and peddlers as per By-law 2012-011. Please contact the Village Office for additional details on the application process.



Refreshment Vehicle Licences

The Village of Sundridge regulates and governs refreshment vehicles—commonly known as food trucks as per By-law 2012-011. Operators may apply for a temporary licence and if granted the licence is valid till December 31 of the current year. Each vehicle requires its own licence. Please note that applications may require supporting documentation including a report from public health, propane certificate, consent of owner of property and a photo of vehicle.

Lottery Licences

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is responsible for the lottery licence program in Ontario. The Village of Sundridge works with AGCO in issuing lottery licences to eligible charitable and religious organizations. The most common lotteries include raffles and break open tickets. All lotteries must adhere to AGCO's policies.


The Village of Sundridge may issue licences to eligible organizations for raffles with prize boards of $50,000 and under, bingo with up to a $5,500 prize board and break open tickets. Licences for lotteries that exceed these prize points must be obtained directly from AGCO.
