By-laws

By-laws are created in order to address issues and concerns of the local community. They are created to protect the environment, public health, public safety, or to maintain an orderly appearance in your community.

Those provided electronically are for information only and may not retain the exact structure of the original versions. Readers should verify information before acting on it. All By-laws are available at the Office, and reference should be made to the official version for any legal purposes.

The following are copies of some of the Village By-laws most requested by the public:

By-law Enforcement

By-law Enforcement is responsible for the investigation and enforcement of all our municipal bylaws. We have by-laws in place to encourage residents and businesses to be responsible and respectful of their neighbours and contribute to the health, safety and vibrancy of our community.

By-law Enforcement is one of the Villages shared services, Our By-law Enforcement Officer is shared between The Village of Sundridge, Armour Township and the Village of Burks Falls.

To file a by-law request for service or complaint, please call Jason Newman, By-law Enforcement Officer at 705-477-3793 or by email bylaw@armourtownship.ca.

Be sure to provide your name, address and telephone number in the request as complaints without contact information will not be investigated.
