Mayor: One (1) to be elected

Councillors: Four (4) to be elected


Elections for municipal government are held every four years on the fourth Monday of October.

  • How do I vote?

    Voting for the 2022 municipal election will be conducted by vote-by-mail. 


    Eligible electors will be able to vote for their Municipal Council and School Board Trustees using vote-by-mail. Vote-by-mail is an accessible and convenient method of voting. It provides voters with flexibility and convenience, delivers quick and accurate results, and allows students and vacationers to vote from anywhere. 


    Mailing Kits will be sent to all eligible electors on September 28th via Canada Post. The last day for electors to return the kit by mail to have it arrive on time is Thursday, October 13th. Completed voting kits can be delivered to the municipal office September 28th to October 21st during regular office hours (Monday to Friday from 8:30am – 4:00pm). The ballots can also be delivered in person on Voting Day, Monday October 24, between 8:30am and 8:00pm.

    Please visit http://www.voterlookup.ca.  This site is owned and managed by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), responsible for identifying all potential municipal, school board and District Social Services Administration Board electors.  MPAC provides this information to election clerks in support of local election events. voterlookup.ca is also used to collect the names of all occupants in a household.  This information is collected by MPAC and provided to municipalities and school boards to assist with planning purposes and is also retained to support future local election events.  Voterlookup.ca is available on going until the next election.
